All-inclusive Honeymoon Packages – Planning Made Easy
What could be easier than just getting on that plane knowing that all the aspects of your honeymoon are expertly taken care of? There are many websites that offer all-inclusive honeymoon packages to all kinds of exotic destinations, but make sure you choose carefully to avoid any disappointments.
Decisions, decisions
Perhaps you don’t only want to have your honeymoon at a certain destination, but your wedding as well. Some travel websites offer combination packages, with a choice of beautiful destinations all over the world. These all-inclusive wedding and honeymoon packages include the venue, the wedding, the reception, the honeymoon and everything that needs to be organised and managed.
Do your budgetting
Before you start surfing the net for honeymoon packages, make sure you know what your budget is. Determine a fixed amount and stick to it. There are many special deals available on the internet, but don’t just be swayed by low prices. Choose a package that suits both you and your future spouse. If you are not planning to go hot air ballooning or clubbing, don’t choose a package where these activities feature.
Research and compare
Shop around for prices, packages and destinations. You can do this by getting travel brochures from travel agencies or you can browse the internet to find all-inclusive packages that suit your requirements and of course, fulfill your honeymoon dream.
Opt for adult-only resorts
Being on your honeymoon and having to deal with noisy children may not be everybody’s idea of a romantic getaway. Consider booking all-inclusive honeymoon packages at adults-only resorts. Most of these will only allow guests that are over 18 years of age.
List possible questions
Before you go ahead and book, get as much information as possible. Make a list of questions and email them off to the (online) travel company and make sure that all your questions are answered satisfactorily so that you are not faced with (nasty) surprises when everything is booked and paid.
Which season is the best?
Make enquiries about which seasons are the best in which parts of the world, both in terms of climate as well as price. You may also not be very happy to stay in a resort that is overcrowded. For low prices, it may be a good option to book your all-inclusive honeymoon out of the peak season.
Is your package really all-inclusive?
As not all fully-inclusive packages are indeed fully-inclusive, make sure you find out exactly what is included in the price and what isn’t, because not all packages offer the same. Some packages for instance, only cover accommodation and meals and perhaps transport, while others are much more comprehensive and offer activities and other extras as well.
Don’t forget your passports
Make sure your passports are in order and not close to their expiry date. Also find out whether or not the resort requires any additional paperwork so that you can attend to this in the beginning of your honeymoon planning process. Make sure that you get your immunisations well in time, if required.
Anything can happen
Think about worst-case scenario situations such as illnesses, loss of luggage, flight cancellations etc. You never know what may happen and it is better to be prepared and have a plan B just in case something happens.
Travel light
Don’t overstuff your luggage! Keep well below the allowed weight and number of luggage items to avoid nasty surprises when travelling. Check and double check with your booking agent. Make sure you pack a variety of clothing items so that you are prepared for any type of weather.
